Courses Specifically Designed for Middle School and High School Students
Flex Academy uses the K12 curriculum which blends the best features of their patented classics driven learning environment—the elegant and research-driven design, the compelling interactivity, the ease of use of both online and offline content—with key features designed to make the middle and high school experiences successful, given the more complex content, skills, and time management requirements of upper-grade students.
A Robust Catalog of Courses to Meet the Needs of Diverse Learners
The K12 course catalog is robust, offering an extensive portfolio of core and elective courses. Middle school students in grades 6–8 will be individually placed according to their abilities in the right level of math and language arts. All Middle School students will take science and social studies enjoying highly online engaging content partnered with off-line hands-on, collaborative and individual projects and labs. Middle School electives include Art, Music, PE and World Languages in Chinese, Spanish and German.
With our close guidance, students can chart their own course, choosing courses to match their aptitudes and goals.
A Dynamic, Flexible Program for Middle School
Flex Academy uses the K12 curriculum to great advantage for students in grades 6–8:
- The engaging, interactive, media-rich lessons are augmented by individualized teaching and support, plus a strong community, to make the total experience more than the sum of its parts
- A combination of online lessons plus outstanding "offline" materials (great books, art supplies, microscopes, and much more) is all part of a patented methodology that has over a decade of success behind it
- Our middle school program is "mastery-based"—meaning that at every stage students are carefully assessed, so they can take more time to master a lesson, or move more rapidly through course materials and enjoy enrichment activities
This unique model of online learning and personalized, on-site instruction helps these young learners reach their true, personal potential.
